Finding an order again, or on another device

Orders live on the device that made them; the email link and a sign-in bring them anywhere else.

This page has not been translated into this language yet, so it is shown in English. The English version is the reference.

Category: Account and privacy

You do not need an account to use TakPhoto, which is deliberate: the fewer details we ask for, the fewer we hold. The trade-off is that an order made on your laptop is not automatically visible on your phone.

On the same device

The browser you ordered from remembers your recent orders and offers them at the top of the page. Nothing of the photo itself is stored there — only the order's address — so clearing your browser data clears the shortcut too.

On another device

Use the link we emailed you when you paid. It opens the same order page on any device, including the downloads. Keep that email; it is your receipt and your key at once.

If you cannot find it, check the spam folder and search for the order number. Still nothing? Write to us from the contact page using the address you paid with, and we will send the link again to that same address — never to a different one.

With an account

If you sign in, your orders follow you. Signing in is done with a link sent to your email address: no password to invent, forget or lose. From then on, every order made while signed in appears on any device where you are signed in.

You can sign in after the fact, too: the orders already on that browser are attached to the account when you do.

Orders that have expired

Files are kept for 30 days after payment and are then deleted, so an old order page will tell you the order has expired rather than showing a photo. That is by design, and it is described in how to delete your photo and your data. If you need the photo again after that, it has to be made again — but you already know exactly how to take one that passes.
